It’s My Dream To Be Like Daddy Lumba In Ghana Music Industry – Sarkodie Explains Why

Although it’s widely known amongst entertainment enthusiasts that the likes of Kojo Antwi, Amakye Dede, Daddy Lumba, et al. are not active off late in our music industry, however, their relevance cannot be overlooked.

Now, born Micheal Owusu Addo famously known as Sarkodie has said that he’s trying so hard to be like Daddy Lumba, Amakye, Kojo Antwi, others for their consistency in the game leaves him thinking.

According to him, the aforementioned ace musicians are not producing hits off late yet they charge a huge amount for events simply because they released quality songs years back.
“I want to end up like Daddy Lumba who won’t sing the whole year but can wake up any month and organize shows and will still take any amount maybe I (Sarkodie) cannot charge. He still rocks big shows without any hit song”, Sarkodie said this during the 5th edition of All Africa Music Awards launch in Accra.

On record, Sarkodie remains the most awarded African rapper with five (5) albums to his credit. Namely, Makye, Rapperholic, Sarkology, Mary & Highest.
