ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! PETROLEUM TANKER DRIVERS CAUTIONS TO WITHDRAW SERVICES FROM MONDAY

The petroleum tankers association of Ghana have cautioned to put a halt to their services starting from monday September 24, 2018.

According to this association, the only reason that could cause them from taking this action would be the quick response of the National Petroleum Authority (NPA) to address their concerns that have been abandoned over these years.

Speaking to Joy Fm on a radio interview, Mr. George Teye Nyauno, the Chairman of the Ghana National Petroleum Tanker Drivers Union indicated that directives are yet to be implemented since

it has come to their notice that the petrol tanker drivers in the country are not fairly treated.

However, members of this association have voiced out several grievances pointing to the fact that "they have been taken for granted for so many years and that they have had enough of this sweet excuses.

They believe that if they act, the National Petroleum Authority will be quick in their implementation processes.

He added that they are being cheated although they are ready to serve the nation, “so whenever they are coming to us, they should make sure they are coming to us with what we have agreed. We are ready to serve the nation but they are cheating us”
