This means Ghanaians are happier now than they were last year when Ghana was ranked 131st and 25th respectively.
The report, released on Wednesday, March 14, has Finland occupying the first position while Burundi came last in the list of 156 countries ranked.
Finland rose from fifth place in 2017 to oust Norway who claimed the second spot with Denmark, Iceland, Switzerland, Netherlands Canada, New Zealand, Sweden, and Australia making up the top 10.
The U.S. and Britain ranked 18th and 19th respectively.
In Africa, Ghana came behind Mauritius, Libya, Algeria, Morocco, Nigeria, Somalia, Cameroon, South Africa, and Ivory Coast.
Undertaken by the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network’s, the World Happiness Report ranks countries according to their scores for things such as GDP per capita, social support, healthy life expectancy, social freedom, generosity and absence of corruption.
